ETS Proctor Operation Training in Hong Kong

Mr. Vincent Cheng, Sales Director from Global Assessment Division, Smart Education introduced ETS to the participants.

Vincent introduced the ETS family of English Assessments to the participants, including the TOEIC®, TOEFL® Junior and TOEFL® ITP tests.

Smart Education organized a Proctor Operation Training on 5 April, 2013 to cope with our rapid expansion of TOEIC®, TOEFL® Junior and TOEFL® ITP test administrations in our region.

Founded in 1947, ETS is a non-profit organization that develops, administers and scores more than 50 million tests annually – including the TOEFL® and TOEIC® tests, GRE tests, etc. – in 180 countries, at over 9,000 locations worldwide. ETS values the fairness and validity of its tests. The ETS representatives from all over the world must follow the testing procedures and rules set by ETS. Proctors and Test Administrators are responsible for safeguarding all aspects of test security and test standard. Selecting Proctors and Test Administrators is an important part of the test programs. Therefore, Smart Education organized this Training to help the participants be familiar with the test administration procedures.

We were pleased to receive very positive feedback from the participants. They all found the Training useful. We also provided the participants with a mock TOEIC® test to help them gain better understanding on the test administration procedures and the operation management. Another round of rigorous interviews and actions will follow, and Smart Education expects to grow the proctor and test administrator teams aggressively.

We hope that the shortlisted participants will become professional ETS Proctors and Test Administrators in the very near future.
